How it works
From quote to handover.
Slab assessment
Nick inspects the existing concrete for structural issues, cracks and drainage problems. If the slab is past resurfacing, we will tell you and explain why a new pour makes more sense.
Surface preparation
The slab is high-pressure cleaned. Cracks and surface defects are repaired. The surface must be sound before the coating goes on.
Base coat
A bonding primer and base coat are applied. This is what makes the finish adhere properly over time.
Pattern and colour
Stencils are laid in the agreed pattern and the colour coat is applied. Multiple coats build up the finish to the right depth.
Seal and handover
A UV-stable sealer is applied to protect the colour and surface. We advise on traffic and water exposure timing before handover.
Where we work

Common questions
Answered straight.
- What is spray pave?
- Spray pave is an acrylic coating system applied over existing concrete. It is used to resurface driveways, paths, pool surrounds and patios that are structurally sound but worn or stained. It gives a fresh, patterned finish without the cost of demolition and a new pour.
- Is spray pave suitable for my existing concrete?
- It depends on the condition of the slab. If the base is sound and the drainage is correct, spray pave works well. If there are structural cracks, the slab is heaving, or the falls are wrong, resurfacing will not fix those problems. Nick will give you an honest assessment on the visit.
- What colours and patterns are available?
- The standard spray pave range covers slate, cobblestone, ashlar, flagstone, bush rock and herringbone, plus a full colour spectrum. We bring sample boards to the quote visit so you can see colour-on-pattern in person before committing. The difference between sample and cured surface is small, but it’s worth seeing in your own light.
- How long does a spray pave finish last?
- A properly prepared and sealed spray pave job typically lasts 10 to 15 years under normal residential conditions. The sealer should be re-applied every 3 to 5 years to keep the finish protected. Heavier traffic areas like driveways tend toward the shorter end of that range, lower-traffic patios toward the longer end.
- What areas do you cover for spray pave?
- We are Sale-based and take spray pave jobs across Gippsland, including Traralgon, Paynesville, Maffra, Bairnsdale and surrounding areas.
